June 22,2004 - The HCOMS site is back online with the new map interface installed.
What is different? We aren't using the HTML Viewer but I plan to give you this option when I get back. The new interfaceis easier to use in that you can edit all info on a single page that shows the map and all the photos. You also only have to hit the Update Outfall button once to update all 8 pages of data. If you hit the View/Edit Outfalls menu item, a dialog will appear that lets you select the table you want. You can also view different combinations of firm, phase, and status. Press go and an outfall list will get gernerated that looks a lot like the list you used to see in ArcIMS. Hit the edit button and the edit form appears. Hit the demote, promote, delete, for an outfall and all acts as before. HOWEVER, the report is now a PDF report.
You'll note that I also made more tables accessible. This mainly applies to primes and SWQ folks. If you are a sub, you can only see your outfall tables for your missions and your review table. However, so that CDM and DEC can see mission tables without logging as a firm and SWQQC can see primte tables, etc., I've added these to your table list. If you don't like this we can change it when I get back.
I tested uploading a photo from insides the firewall and all worked. Also, I need someone to let me know you can upload mission data from the outside.
When I get back, I am going to add a find an outfall menu item and also give you back the ArcIMS interface if you need it. I think you'll prefer the new interface. Also for very long tables, I plan to give you the option of splitting them so the query doesn't take so long to generate the outfall list.
